How physically demanding is the gorilla trek?
It is the most challenging single activity. Treks can last from 1 to 8 hours over steep, muddy, and uneven terrain at high altitude. A good level of fitness is essential, and hiring a porter is highly advised. Will we definitely see the Great Migration?
The migration is a year-round, cyclical event. While we visit the prime areas (Serengeti & Mara), witnessing specific events like river crossings is seasonal (typically July-Oct) and cannot be guaranteed, though general wildlife viewing is spectacular year-round.How is the border crossing handled?
Our guides will assist you with the border formalities between Uganda/Rwanda and Tanzania/Kenya. The process is straightforward, but patience is required. Having your documents (passport, visas, Yellow Fever certificate) readily accessible is key. What about luggage with the internal flight?
The flight from Rwanda to Tanzania has a strict baggage allowance, typically 20kg for checked luggage and 5-8kg for hand luggage. Packing soft-sided bags is recommended. We can advise on luggage forwarding services if needed.
